금산군 외국인주민 통합지원센터, 2024 외국인주민 진로･취업 설명회 성료

중부대학교 산학협력단(단장 이주헌)은 올해 9월 금산군과 금산군 외국인주민 통합지원센터 운영에 대한 위/수탁을 체결하여 금산군 거주 외국인주민을 위한 다양한 사업들을 진행하고 있다. 지난 11월 13일에 진행된 외국인주민 진로･취업 설명회는 센터 개소 이후 처음 진행한 대외 행사로, 중부대학교 취업･창업지원센터의 취업주간행사와 연계하여 성공적으로 개최하였다.
이번 설명회는 외국인주민이 평소 궁금하거나 희망하는 학습･진로･심리 등의 분야별 전문 검사와 상담, 이미지 메이킹을 위한 자신만의 퍼스널 컬러 찾기의 체험형 프로그램과 센터의 주요 사업과 신청･참여 방법, 지역특화형 비자 안내 등 외국인주민에게 필요한 정보 제공과 홍보활동을 함께 진행하였다.
금산군 외국인주민 통합지원센터 천지은 센터장은 “우리 센터는 금산군 외국인주민의 안정적인 생활환경과 지역 정주 기반 마련을 위해 문을 열었다. 오늘 설명회를 통해 외국인주민들이 함께 참여하고 체험하는 프로그램이 더욱 필요하다는 것을 새삼 느끼게 되었다. 앞으로도 이러한 프로그램들을 새롭게 만들 예정이니 계속해서 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다.”고 전하였다.
금산군 외국인주민 통합지원센터는 중부대학교 경영관 B104-1호에 위치하며, 내년부터 본격적으로 한국어 교육과정, 전문자격 교육과정, 한국 체류 관련 상담 및 행정서비스, 지역 취업･창업 정보 제공 등의 사업들을 진행할 계획이다.

Geumsangun Foreign Resident Support Center Successfully held
the 2024 career and Employment information Session for Foreign Residents
The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Joongbu University (Head: Lee Ju-heon) signed an agreement with Geumsangun in September to operate the Geumsangun Foreign Resident Support Center(GFSC). Since then, it has been providing various programs for foreign residents in Geumsangun. On November 13, the center held its first public event since opening, which was a Career and Employment Information Session for foreign residents. This event was successfully organized in collaboration with Joongbu University’s Career and Startup Support Center during their Employment Week.
The information session provided useful resources for foreign residents, including professional assessments and consultations in areas they may be interested in or want to explore. It also featured a hands-on activity to help participants discover their personal color for image-making. The session introduced the center’s main programs, explained how to apply and participate, and provided information on F-2-R visa.
Chun Ji-eun, head of the GFSC, stated, “Our center was established to create a stable living environment and provide a foundation for foreign residents in Geumsangun to settle in the area. During this information session, we were reminded of how important it is to offer more programs where foreign residents can participate and gain hands-on experience together. We plan to continue creating such programs, so we kindly ask for your ongoing interest and participation.”
The GFSC is located in Room B104-1 of the Joongbu University Business Administration Building. Starting next year, the center plans to offer various services, including Korean language courses, professional certification programs, counseling and administrative support related to residency in Korea, and information on local employment and startup opportunities.
